Most watch writing online is built for the scroll. Quick takes and release-day reactions. There's a place for that. But some stories don't belong on your phone. The ones that need space and a cup of coffee, not a swipe while you're on the toilet.
SmallSeconds Print is for those stories. Four times a year, we publish a broadsheet newspaper. Long-form essays, opinions pieces, interviews and more. The watches and people that don't get covered enough, told properly with love and care. Printed on real paper, posted to your door, designed to be read and kept.
Virgil Abloh’s (Off-White) ideas around representing objects through thoughtful design of the space that surround them really inspired me to think more about how watch media can be used to communicate.
"If I put this candle in an all-white gallery space, it looks like a piece of art. If I put the same candle in a garage, it looks like a piece of trash. I can either spend my time designing the candle, or I can spend my time designing the room that it sits in." - Virgil Abloh
SmallSeconds in print is the white room that will represent the art of watchmaking like never before. Beautifully designed, meticulously considered. It will be the most beautiful place to read about watches. Period.
