Kerbedanz is a 100% independent Swiss manufacture founded in Neuchâtel in 2011 by Kalust Zorik and Aram Petrosyan. The name honours Karabed, an ancestor of the family remembered as a respected blacksmith and clock repairer, meaning roughly "the heirs of Karabed", or leader and precursor.
The Maison's watches are built around personal symbolism rather than convention. Petrosyan, as chief designer, works across engraving, enamelling, miniature painting and guillochage to weave meaning into each piece, and the brand takes on bespoke commissions built around a client's own story. Kerbedanz presented its first public collection at Baselworld in 2014, having spent its early years on special orders for private clients.
Its best known creation is the Maximus, home to the largest tourbillon ever fitted to a wristwatch, alongside the more accessible Cadanz by Kerbedanz line and, from 2026, the 65'27'' collection marking the brand's 15th anniversary.
Vahé Vartzbed was appointed Chief Executive Officer in November 2025, charged with building out Kerbedanz's selective retail network while Zorik and Petrosyan continue to lead the Maison's design and vision.
